Phoenix speakeasy offers three-course dinner with a side of mystery
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Get ready to unleash your inner detective! A Phoenix speakeasy is offering a way to have a fun and mysterious night out.
Wander Speakeasy, located near 7th Street and Deer Valley Drive, is bringing back its murder mystery dinner, with the Mafioso Murders- Godfather’s Revenge Mystery Dinner, presented by Murder Ink Productions, on Sunday, Sept. 22.
“People can come in, and they can become part of the show,” said Greg Lutz, owner and founder of Murder Ink Productions.
Guests are encouraged to dress as if they’re in the 1920s as they step into the world of mobsters and mayhem in that decade.
“We got actors that perform, and then somebody mysteriously dies, and then they can search for clues. After they search for clues we have the point where they can vote and see if they can guess who actually the murderer is,” said Lutz.

Audience members may also be assigned a role in the mystery, and Lutz says the winner gets a prize.
The dinner aligns with the mafia theme. It is a three-course meal of Italian food, including a burrata and heirloom tomato salad with berries, pesto and balsamic vinegar.
The main course is a chicken cacciatore with braised chicken, vegetables, sauce, and cheesy parmesan polenta.
For dessert, guests can enjoy a pannacotta with blackberry jam, almond and granola, pistachio, and elderberry honey.
Adult tickets are $95, which include a three-course dinner with unlimited soft drinks.
VIP Tickets are available for $110. They include preferred seating, a craft cocktail or wine, a three-course dinner and unlimited soft drinks.
