Phoenix restaurant donates proceeds to help Arizona children living in foster care

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — This week, 13 Valley cities are participating in CASA Volunteer Week.
Gov. Katie Hobbs endorsed the statewide initiative to help CASA, an organization with court-appointed special advocates who help over 8,000 Arizona children in foster care. One Valley restaurant is doing Something Good to help CASA in a delicious way.
This week, Sfizio Modern Italian Kitchen, which is located near Tatum Road and Loop 101 across from Desert Ridge, will donate $2 of every plate of pasta sold directly to Voices for CASA.
“This is our way to give back to the community,” said Sfizio Chef Rocco Pezzano. “In addition to a nice meal, people can help a great cause.”
Chef Pezzano said they make everything from scratch, including the bread and pasta.
“The generosity of Sfizio, we’re so appreciative of it. It just helps to get the word out and raise awareness,” said Denise Serro from Voices for CASA Children.
Serro said CASA still needs volunteers. To learn more about CASA, click/tap here.
