Apple says it is fixing a bug that changed the word ‘racist’ to ‘Trump’

(CNN) – Apple says it is fixing a technical bug that caused its voice-to-text system to briefly replace the word “racist” with the word “Trump.”
On Tuesday, some iPhone users reported that when they spoke the word “racist” the system typed “Trump” before quickly correcting the word to “racist.”
The company said the glitch was causing its dictation feature to incorrectly suggest “Trump” when users said words with “R” consonants.
Apple didn’t comment on why its system may have heard President Trump’s name when users were saying “racist.”
