Yavapai County animal control officer frees dog trapped in barbed wire
BLACK CANYON CITY, AZ (AZFamily) — A poodle can now run free with his new owner after being rescued from barbed wire in Black Canyon City.
Body-cam video shows a Yavapai County Sheriff’s animal control officer using scissors and other tools to free “Barbed Wire Ben.” The officer gently cuts the wire from the entangled pooch.
Barbed Wire Ben welcomed the officer’s help, even licking him at times. “He’s already feeling better,” the officer says. “Just trying to help you out,” he tells his new furry friend.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office believes the pup was abandoned and entangled in barbed wire for an extended period.
They say Barbed Wire Ben is doing great and is now in the process of being adopted by a new owner.
