Authorities search for man accused of harming horse in Yavapai County

YAVAPAI COUNTY, AZ (AZFamily) — A search is on for a man accused of trespassing onto a Yavapai County property and hurting a horse.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. on Monday at a property across from the Quail Ridge RV Park on Highway 69 between Spring Valley and Cordes Lakes. The property owner said his live-stream camera captured a man trespassing onto his property and hurting his horse.

Information was not given about the injuries the man caused to the horse but investigators said the horse is doing fine now.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said the man was reported in the area several other times in the early morning hours.

YCSO said witnesses reported the suspect ran away before deputies arrived. Deputies found some evidence on the suspect’s path, but they have not found the suspect yet.

No information was given about the suspect’s identity, but YCSO posted two surveillance photos of the suspect.
